Manilla / Air Quality / 2017
Data on air quality (e.g. levels of major pollutants) on a granular basis - that is at least broken down by month (preferably by day). Geographic breakdown (e.g. by grid point) would be nice but is not required.

I could not find the data in the national open data portal or in any of the government departments that could be linked to the air quality issue. For that reason I e-mailed the Air Quality Management Section of the Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to see if they had the data. A person named Joel answered me and provided me with the National Air Quality Status Report for 2008-2015 (https://emb.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/1-Air-Quality-1.8-National-Air-Quality-Status-Report-2008-2015.pdf) in which you can find some data on air quality and the major pollutants for the regions (including Metro Manila) in Philippines. The data is not machine readable and is not granular enough as it shows the levels of pollutants by year, but it does provide a geographic breakdown of the different stations inside the regions. Also, in the website of the environmental management bureau I found they have an app (https://119.92.161.10/Airs/AirQualityApp.aspx) showing the Philippines Air Quality Index to "know the air quality of designated areas near you and other locations of the country." The app seems to give daily information, so maybe the data could be collected through the app.
