In order to find this dataset, we first searched at the official municipal government’s website, in which we found a document entitled “Information about the authority in charge of transport and transit in Maputo”. In this document, we found some information about the institution itself, its legal framework and a contact e-mail . We wrote asking for data about transport and eventually transport timetables, or for the contact of some other responsible institution, but, until now, we did not get any answers. Besides the official contact, we analyzed academic works about Maputo’s transport system. The main conclusion is that Maputo’s public transportation infrastructures are facing massive problems that have led to a process of institutional reforms, making access to data more difficult. Indeed, André Araújo mentioned in 2010 the existence of transport timetables that were available on the Public Transport of Maputo’s (TPM ) website (consulted by him on June 8th, 2010). In the annex of Araújo’s thesis we found the descriptions of the bus lines and their respective timetables for 2010. However, the website is not accessible anymore, and thus we cannot be sure if there is data available on that.
